Xara 3D has released a new varsion of Xara 3D. Xara 3D 3.0 Unlike much modern 'bloatware' that offers more features than are ever likely to be used, and take an age to learn and understand, Xara3D has been created to perform one job, and performs that job with style, speed, and slick simplicity. Xara3D is solely designed to create the highest quality 3D text headings for use on Web pages. All images are fully anti-aliased for that smooth professional quality. Xara3D can also create simple, high quality animated GIFs or AVI movie sequences in seconds.

Some of the new features in Xara3D version 3.0:

  • Text can have soft shadows applied.
  • Areas of text can be selected, and different fonts and text settings applied - previously these were global.
  • There are two new animation types, 'swing' and 'pulse'. In addition, each animation type can apply to the block of text as a whole, or to each individual letter, giving six different 'modes' of animation in total. See examples.
  • Textures can be scaled and rotated.
  • There is a hex button on the Color Picker - making it easier to match RGB values to those in your HTML.
  • Redraw is even faster.
